Got out for a late day hunt today at a local sports field complex, starting a little before 4PM. My hope was to score lots of clad and maybe some jewelry. I stopped the hunt at 5:10; it was probably my most productive short hunt: 20 quarters (owing to a spill of at least 10), 8 dimes and 8 pennies. One penny is smaller than a dime; must have gotten caught in a machine. The best find came late in the hunt, near to the quarter spill. The Equinox rang up loud at about 27 and I looked to the ground to spy a ring on top, no digging required. Field was empty, no sports, no dogwalkers, but I assume this is a recent drop. It's marked 14K Sterling.
