Class of '93 gold ring being returned to its rightful owner!

I got out for a hunt on public grounds. There was an old couple there, watching me swing away, laughing at me... but curious. :laughing7:

As I got closer, they started to ask questions. I talked about the hobby and what we usually find. The old lady asks "Did you find any gold?"

I said, "Never from this spot..."

Literally 10 minutes later, I get a solid 51 on the Deus.

I flip it over and see the unmistakable look of a gold band. I took it out, flipped it around and see my old high school crest. Vita vitalis, a life worthwhile. SJHS, class of 93.

I found the initials on the inside, and within a few minutes, I had a name.

Thanks to the power of social media (and my cousin who tried to steal my thunder), I got in touch with the woman. She was thrilled. She lost it twenty years ago.

I will post a pic of us if she lets me take one on the return. I am not seeking a reward. but the lady does seem to have some contacts. She may be able to open up access for me to many of the old Anglican churches in the area. :) Fingers crossed that the karma stuff pays off...

Happy hunting.

Awesome story! Looking forward to seeing pics of the return

The owner of the class ring I found is still a mystery. Several people I know graduated the same year as the ring and their yearbooks contain no one with the initials on the ring. Go figure. May try looking at a yearbook myself or try reading the initials better

Great story, still looking for my Karma aid.

Sweet ring  Good Luck on the return.

Good job Gio! I hope karma puts some incredible stuff under your coil. Maybe on Tuesday if I get permission on that field! Congrats buddy, well done:headbang:

Toasted I found a ring onetime and had the same problem. Seems like the person got the ring and moved before the yearbooks came out. I found the person by looking at the previous yearbook when this person was a junior. Finally located and returned

Congratulations on the beautiful ring recovery and return!
