Hi guys. I have had some Classic units before and loved their performance in high trash area where I like to hunt. I had to sell them, but am now ready to buy again and have an opportunity to buy either a Classic again (no Mr. Bill mods), or the Q-II (not QXT) for the same price. Would the Q-II be a better machine? I have a 5.3" coil also which works on both.
Thanks!

From what i have heard from Mr Bill, the Classic is far superior in high trash areas. I will probably have either a Classic III or an Eagle Spectrum for sale within the next week or so. The Eagle Spectrum i think replaced the QII but was before the XLT.

Hi Reb. I know the Classics work great around iron, figured the 6.59 khz Quantum would be similar. I used to have the CL III. (my first detector!)
Is yours the 8 AA batteries or the 9v? From what I read the Eagle was replaced by the QII,and the XLT replaced the QII with more programming. Is your Eagle the one with the verticle display? Isn't it a bit heavy?
Thanks!

Mine aren't here yet as i just bought them both yesterday and am waiting for them to get here. But the Classic is the 8 AA model
As for the Eagle Spectrum, i am pretty sure it came during or after the time of the QII but before the XLT. I had one before and they are a really good unit. It runs on 4 C batteries but i have some of the C to AA adapters so i can run it with 4 AA batteries. It is balanced nicely and not too heavy. It has the horizontal display just like the XLT. They are basically the same machine except the XLT has a few more user programmable programs and i think a back light.

I have pretty much decided to sell the Spectrum when it gets here. It will have the 9.5" coil, owners manual, and a set of headphones. Send me a PM if interested.

What do u want for the spectrum. Thanks
