I found this at a late 1700s site. I could barely tell it was a hammer head, it was encrusted in a massive ball of rust. Most of which I tapped off with a hammer. I'm planning to remove the rest with eloctolysis. It has an older look to it, I'm having difficulty finding info on the Internet.

It's an oldie I'm thinking. Clean it to see if it's stamped with a maker's mark.

I'll definitely post some after electrolysis pics, hopefully within a few days. I wish I took a picture prior to hammering away the massive rust ball.

It is a carpenter hammer, and old. Coddler hammer has a large flat face and no claw. Tony
