Well I went to the park again, this time using the Eldorado instead of the Ace 250. Looked for coins only (Copper pennies, Dimes and Quarters)
Most of the finds were 8-inches to 12-inches. I thought I found it all with the Ace.

I am surprised at how deep I have been finding these coins!!

And also found a 1909 Wheat cent in my change. From McDonald's (No mint mark or VDB).

This was mostly all found right next to a public swimming pool. It was around 6 Dollars.
I know I hit this area very hard with the ace 250. I discriminated everything except Copper and higher, so I would not dig nickels, Zinc cents, lots of Quarters, Dimes and pennies (copper)were found. One hole had a Quarter and 2 nickels!! I Go over it again when I get a 11-in Widescan coil.

Nice bunch of coins. Slack off a bit on the descrimination and I'll bet you will turn
up some rings and other gold goodies. I wish I could find some old coins where
I detect, but the river this time of year only produces newer clads that are corroded
from being in the water. In a couple of weeks I am going to make a trip to a turn of
the century stage stop that is out in the middle of nowhere. I will be looking for old
coins there. This is a stage stop that supplied the old mines in the area with their payroll.
There is also an old foundation that is suppose to be a place that made some ladies some
extra money on the side. Hope I turn up something good there.

Nice finds, but it has to suck, digging coins at 8-12 inches and you get wheat cents in change at McDonalds, but hey, treasure is where you find it. I do NOT enjoy digging memorial cents at 8 inches. For some reason after digging clad at 12 inches I'm thinking fill and heading somewhere else. You don't dig nickels you are passing on gold and many other goodies, fatties, 1/2 dimes and alot of other interesting goodies. That Ace 250 can get the gold, not sure about the other detector!! Good Luck!
