Suggestions for cleaning aluminum tokens

This has probably been answered once before, but I am interested in suggestions on how to clean aluminum tokens. The ones I have are pitted and have brown dirt/rust stains on them. I tried vinegar, acetone and peroxide and they don't seem to get clean. Is there a way to run electrolysis on them?
