Southern New Mexico and Chihuahua
You rockSouthern New Mexico and Chihuahua
That is ok, Smokey. Half the fun is the playing. I am like you. I like to find all my stuff. It means more than buying it.That's a lot. I don't have near that much after 60 years of playing in the dirt.
I know most the ranchers and a lot of the miners in my area. I also spend time looking for old collectionsThat's a lot. I don't have near that much after 60 years of playing in the dirt.
You are in a great area for rocking. One of my favorite areas. Nice people around there too.I know most the ranchers and a lot of the miners in my area. I also spend time looking for old collections
I have a little "mineral envy" looking at your collection. Nice job.I know most the ranchers and a lot of the miners in my area. I also spend time looking for old collections
Most of the places these pieces came from are gone now, they closed off most the mines before I was born. The working mines won't let you anywhere near. The followers have also made it impossible to get on a lot of so called public land, they would rather watch it burn so they can blame global warming. I would love to be able to get into all the places these pieces came from and find them myself but it is not possible. That is ok, Smokey. Half the fun is the playing. I am like you. Yep, more and more places are shut down. You are fortunate to have such a nice collection. Most of the places these pieces came from are gone now, they closed off most the mines before I was born. Septarian nodule from Near Taos new MexicoI like that round piece with the spider looking vein in it. Looks like a cut of petrified wood.
