coffee mill parts

Do any of you find coffee mill parts on your sites? I find a lot of these on Indian sites from the 1800's. I wonder if they used them for coffee or for grinding something else?

The coffee grinders in the pic are from an 1850's camp.

I found one at an old river crossing town, like the one at the very top. and a bunch of square nails
