Well wasn't sure where to put this so I figured I'd drop it in here. I just finished making this table yesterday. I love it. I always try to make my own furniture as I think buying some of those things gets kind of pricey. I put about $300 in it, compared to ones that I researched where running $900- $1,800 new. Just has some various stuff I collect along with personal items. Check it out.

Being a frugal yankee (cheap) I made mine out of a yard sale coffee table, some plywood left over from another project and a piece of 3/8" thick glass I had in my barn. The table originally had 2 drawers in it and I bought it for $40 at a yard sale. I cut out the top with a router and made the bottom out of plywood. The wife found some fabric with a Civil War theme and quilt batting at a fabric store. I turned the drawer fronts into hinged doors that lock so I can add or remove items. I might have $100 invested in the whole thing. Some items are metal detecting finds, some are antique shop or Ebay purchases. The belt with the US plate is original and was bought at an estate auction in Southern Alabama.
