Hey fellow hunters! I just pulled my sov elite outta storage and get back into hunting the First Coast again. I ran into a little snag... the coil cable outer jacket is falling off in small pieces, as if its rotting/dried out. The individual cables inside are in solid and intact. Would I be good by just wrapping it with some electrical tape just to get by? If the cable is a replaceable unit i can buy one later. My machine is stock with stock 10" coil. Thanks for all the advice in advance.

I have cables that are cracked and taped. No problem as long as I stay out of the water.

I think I'd rather dip them in plastic.....the stuff you use on tool handles. Electrical tape can get gummy and sticky after a while. Especially if it sits in a hot car for any length of time.
