Hello all, I am new to MD'ing and just bought an MXT, Yeaaa. Anyway, I am in California now and will be going back to Central Ga. in a few weeks and was wondering which coil would be best for the red clay soil.

Is the soil considered mineralized or something else I should be aware of?
Which coil would benifit me most for coins and relics in the area?
Any other info would help as well as far as settings.

Thanks All and well met.
Jim

Thanks Doobie, I would love take you up on that offer when I get back into town and get back settled in a bit.

So what is your take on the soil conditions and the best coil for that area?

I was thinkiing of the Eclipse DD6x10.

Live in north Georgia red clay. DFX works great with the stock coil and 12" spider. Gold Bug 2 does well also. No problems. wife has XLT, No problems
