coin beach sandy leftovers

Ok dad and i got out for a couple hours yesterday to do some beach hunting came home with another King George copper this makes number 19 for me. Not many targets, found a few fishing weights and a nice pocket full of sea glass.Also found this item in the attached pic still not sure what it is

looks like an old fosset hot or cold handle for bathroom sink, where the hole is ,would be where the H or the C would go for hot or cold......the rusted part would be the stem that fit through the sink and fastened under with a hex nut....

The brass bit I think is one end of an old towel rack, search google images and you'll see a lot of similar ones.
