Coin ID need for 1860's house find

I found this down about 4" in the backyard of a 1860's house I visited yesterday. It appears to be Chinese. Thanks for your help in advance.

I think it is; I found one similar a few weeks ago and Montana Jim put me on to a few sites that pinned it down.

It sure is... and it looks authentic.

Kinda hard to make out the charactors, but if it looks better in real life try this site: http://www.sportstune.com/chinese/index.html to help you determine what you have.

Your first picture is the reverse which shows the mintmark...

The examples jules posted are a great tool also! If you get it figured out post a response and let us know!
