Coin machines

There are 10 coin machines within a 15 minute drive of me at 4 different banks (many branches)

6 of the 10 machines are down! The other 4 are going to get tired of seeing me, I usually try to not hit a coin counter more than once every 3 weeks.

there are a 4 other machines within in about 30 minute drive but not sure their status

My primary dump machine (Bank A) has been down for three weeks. Awaiting a part.

My secondary dump machine (Bank B) has been down for five weeks. Awaiting a part. Half dollar bag fills at $1,000.

My tertiary dump machine (Bank B) is 20 miles away and the half dollar bag fills at $500.

My quaternary (I had to look it up) dump machine (Bank B) is 22 miles away and the half dollar bag fills at $500.

The last two weeks, I used the tertiary bank and filled up the bag twice, This week, I used the quaternary bank and filled up the bag once.

Next week, I'll check these banks to see if the broken machines are operational -- if not, it's back to the tertiary bank.

The curious thing is that all of the Bank B machines are all the same machine, same model -- as is the machine in Bank B where I acquire my halves, but its machine won't take half dollars at all.

I doubt that these banks are in a hurry to fix the machines since they serve as a convenience for account holders and do not generate any revenue except goodwill. Non-account holders can use them for a service charge of 6% (better than Coinstar).

Yup, 6 out of 10 down BUT I just found a new bank (Bay Coast) that is almost across the street from one of my dump banks! The furthest ones are 10 miles away and 8 withing 5 miles. When they are all working I have a wealth of machines, about 13 that will do halves and another 4 that will do everything but halves
