Coin Question

I was wondering what the cut off date is for silver coinage,I was told 1963,then i read something saying 1964 was.I would like to know so i can differentiate the silver(keepers) from the ordinary clad that I would use to buy snacks when i am out hunting.Thanks and sorry for my lack of knowledge.

1964 was the lasy year they made silver except for a Half Dollar.

After 64 it was the Kennedy Half, go to this link to see the years:

All the clad you collect, turn it on edge, if its silver all the way through, its pre 64 or its canadian. Hh dave.

Thanks a bunch guys,that helps out so much--so 64 it is-- exception is the half dollar I'll be sure to check the sides and dates from now on
