Coin & Spikes found today

Found this coin, took pictures, then my shaky Parkinson's hand dropped the coin down a crack in my center console. Going to have to try to find it tomorrow. I know it's a stretch, but does anyone recognize the coin or the spikes? Possible late 1700's cache in the area if that helps. Thanks

Looks like a 2014 Everglades quarter.

I bet you're exactly right now that I see the neck of the heron. I didn't think it was a quarter at first since it had the extra ridge, but I see that the everglades quarter does have that. Thanks for the ID!

The spikes and the long spike with the eyelet are still puzzling me though. They look to be hammered.

I’ve been told that the three pieces are rope making tool set called a “sailor’s fid” and likely from the 1700’s. It had some fibers in the concretion, so it makes sense.
