Hello Everyone,

Stopped by the grocery store and of course gave the Coinstar machine a quick look! It contained three coins that were quickly scooped up.

Thank you for looking!

Why would someone leave a dollar coin in there, it is worth the exact same thing as a $1 banknote? I guess some people are just lazy and just leave stuff there when the machine refuses to take it, more gain for us! I found over 100 Canadian and Mexican coins once, and 2 silver dimes in the CoinStar. Great finds!

I checked 2 coinstars today and came away with 2 cents stuck together. You beat me.

Congrats on your finds,,
I guess some people don't know about the reject tray, or figure if the machine rejected it, the coin is worthless.

Against the wind, I hope you are correct...more for us to find! :occasion14:

Nice score! The only thing I ever found in a coinstar was a good one. A '41 merc. Should definitely be checking it more often tho...

Congratulations! i was only recently introduced to Coinstar hunting, and yesterday, for the first time bagged a BU '64 Rosie, 4 banners and a 2032 button battery! How the heck BU silver finds its way into a coinstar defies explanation, but i've read about it many times here in these pages, and yesterday it happened to me! Congrats again, and thanks for the inspiration.

Nice job Professor. A buck is a buck whether its a coin or paper.
