Snagged a wheatback at haggens grocery store tonight....1940... sorry for the poor quality photo...always happy to retrieve an old coin...

Cool! All the Coinstar hoppers seem to be empty wherever I go. My luck, I guess.
Do people just not retrieve the rejects? That has always seemd odd to me.
It seems odd to me too....my guess is that since they are rejected maybe they are worthless or they just don't want the loose change to deal with...I should ask someone but then I'd lose out :)
 

Makes you wonder, if they dumped in a Wheatie, did they also dump in some silver coins as well? Just imagine, if you had the job of emptying these machines how many silvers you'd be able to recover. :thumbsup:
 

I have never checked a COINSTAR LOL
 

Any time a coin star gives up an older coin, it's a good day. Those machines are kind of stingy in my area. Every now and then we will find a silver in one. Most days, they are empty.
