Went by the local Walmart this evening to dump a jarful of coins in the Coinstar. It's a ripoff I know, but I'm moving and wanted to get rid of the coins.
As the machine was sorting the coins, I remembered to look in the coin return slot
Sure enough, there sat a lone dime.
I figured it was probably a Canadian dime- the snowbirds in this area like to cheat the locals by giving them Canadian coins mixed in with American
(Sort of like how you hear them bragging about how superior the Canadian socialist medical system is while they crowd our local doctors offices and hospitals all winter)
I picked the dime up and knew before looking at the date that it was silver.
A 1948 Rosie
I then went down the street and used some of the Coinstar money to buy a bottle of Buffalo Trace Bourbon to enjoy at Christmas and New Years
Not a bad end to the day.......
