These days, it's a trade-off. Economic conditions favoring increased Coinstar usage versus a prudent mysophobia. Anyway, I walked by and saw a dime lying on the shelf, and the silver edge decided it for me. A 1964 Philadelphia:



I won't stick my hand into a pile of sketchy-looking Zincolns searching for these, but when they practically walk right up to me, I'm going for it.

Still cant figure out why somebody trying to cash in change would leave a dime behind. Maybe it didn't go through but still a dime.

Thanks. If someone cashes in a large enough amount, they might feel they can spare a dime. Silver coins in circulation are normally so rare that any time I find them, I wonder how much change the last person dumped.
