It was-8 when I got up this morning,little critters fluffing up feathers for a layer of insulation to warm.Gotta keep the feeder full.

You got that right. What kind of camera you using? My hens had their regular breakfast and a sausage, egg and cheese croissant. They LOVE them. Lots of protein and some fat, too. Was -2 out here this am. Hens didn't miss a beat seeing me coming with the lunch bucket.

These will never be eaten. They are pets and follow me around like puppies and I sit down and hold them in a lawnchair for pettings when it's warmer. In the meantime, they whine for whatever it is they don't have at the moment. Little monsters toss all the bedding out of their house. They just don't like hat, straw, shavings or anything else I put in there to keep them warm. Every year I put $100 in plexiglass around their entire house to keep the wind down. They are not spoiled.

We can't fill our feeders fast enough this time of year and when they run out they'll hang out and eat with the chickens haha. Ours have been molting so no eggs lately. I always wondered why the heck they molt when winter comes. Doesn't seem like a good time to be bald.
