Whoa... what kind of lizard is that ?

Never saw one like that before.

Bearded dragon ?

I just happened to have book on lizards within reach. Northern Curly Tailed Lizard. IMO. A non-native from the Caribbean. Gets up to about 8 inches, and eats brown and green anoles. From Lizards and Crocodilians of the Southeast. Beautiful flowers. The Plumerias are really nice!

The curly tails showed up here about 3-4 years ago. The tail goes straight when their cold.

If he eats lizards... um that one would "have to go".

I cater to my lizards here with seashells with water.

Wanna know why ? ? ?

I don't like bugs... and don't like pesticides even more.

Best pest control anyone could have.

And its free.

Just got done reading up on the lizard... The northern curly tail lizard is an invasive species.

Like the lion fish... or anaconda / python... it eats everything and throwing things out of balance...

it too must go.

Ah man, now you're going to have everyone laughing at us when they compare our idea of cold to their reality. (Especially when someone reads this thread in January. Brrrr.8-))

Speaking of lizards, here is one that fell out of the potting soil bag this weekend when transplanting our lime tree. Neat little "T" tail on it.

We have hundreds of lizards around the house. They eat every bug they see. It is rare to get a roach inside as they gobble them up asap! Spiders too, I never knock down a web unless they build it across my walkways.

We have been invaded by Mediterranean Geckos. They are about the same size as a green Anole but they take over the Anoles territory.

My wife and I went to Florida a few years ago in February. It was 9 degrees when we left, so we were hoping for a big improvement in Florida, but no. Never got above 39 degrees for a whole week. Still better than 9!
