Can someone ID this button? Is it a colonial carved pearl button? How should I preserve it?

The XP Deus HF round coil hit this at frequency 28kHz. I don't think that there is much metal in this button.

looks like it might be oyster shell ?

Great recovery. Gently wash it. You can then coat it with thinned down Elmer's glue. Thin the Elmer's with water and let dry. You may need a few coats.

The glue can be 50-50 if need be.
