Colonial Shore Line Hunt Race Against the Tide

Been too hot to detect so Lost Signal and I decided to try the shore line. Had a great day after a real dry spell. Some interesting buttons, a nice thimble, intact cuff links, musket balls, brass ring, etc. Artifacts are from a few different sites but the last site we hit holds the most promise and we still have a good bit of it left to search since the tide ran us out. We will be back there soon. Has potential for some bucket listers.



This thimble was in great condition, thought it was silver at first but appears to be brass.


In tact cufflinks, thought we had tudor rose at first but still very cool find.


Very small brass ring, had a place for a jewel too.

Misc items, a finial, I think a handle for a candle holder, ram rod holder

That last photo of the "candle holder" is upside down I think, but I'm still not sure how it functioned. It fits perfect between thumb and finger and there's a hole where a cup might have been mounted to hold the candle, but there is no base. No way to put it down. ?
