I found whit excalibur 2, in Acapulco’s shore close to spanish colonial shipwreck ( galeón of Manila)

Might be the galleon had gold chain by the large rolls. Manila galleon wrecked down there before others wrecked off California, Most of the gold was various size chain rolls.

If that was silver... and came out of the ocean.... and was older than a couple years...

It would be blackened and or discolored... just for starters... and if it were from a galleon... you would not even recognize it.

IF in fact this is something from a Galleon it would have to be gold for it to be in that condition.

The only other metals it could possibly be would be copper and or brass.../ bronze... WHICH would be greener than a shamrock to the point of black.

EVEN if it was silver... it would not be from any Galleon DUE to the condition.

UNLESS>............... it has been through a serious electrolysis process over a long period of time.

This reminds me a lot of a Dorje (the cross part)
The dagger part would be Vagra
So some refer these as a Varja Dorje

Tibetan origin and that is the green Turquoise
There's lots of variations of the Dorje
Either way it's a keeper.
Age? Anyone's guess

The turquoise colour is not that common as having lots of pieces, very few are of that shade colour.
3rd row from left, 3rd down from top is similar.
Most jewelry that contain turquoise is unique in its own way.
The stone was probably a bead at one time cut in half and set into this piece.

Turquoise would have been long gone eroded.

Just because it was found on a beach doesn't mean it was on a spanish galleon.

If you guys will just click on the pic and then click on it again and it will enlarge, you will see, obviously, that it IS in fact silver with the good ol' grey patina that many silver items get when out in the elements.

Pepper nailed it!! The found object is likely Tibetan, a necklace pendant of the dagger Pepper shows. Turquoise is often used in Tibetan jewelry. The tuquoise was not a half bead, millions of half round turquoise cabochons have been made.

Thought so....in some ways it looked similar to Cerillos rough turquoise slabs Todd Brown found in !990s (or earlier) he showed me at the Cerrillos Turquoise museum. Coronado sent samples to Spain for possible use in crown jewels. Tibetan no doubt some stones would come from China.
