This was a great weekend to do a little detecting here in NC, we had a slight snow scare but it turned out to be very nice. I spent several hours in the CW camp that has produced some super finds over the last couple of months. The number of targets aren't there like they were, but anytime I can come home with a little bit of history I'm happy.
The silver clog fastener was a nice surprise to go along with the shield shaped buckle and the 3-ring bullets.

Yeap, silver 18th C clog fasteners are pretty scarce, I've only got a few, none that shape.

Nice finds! Congratulations.

Thanks CRUSADER, four of these have come from this site...two have an "F" mark and two have an "I" mark, I assume the silversmith's mark.--JB
