It was sure nice out, I went down to a well hit spot but it's in the sun and not frozen. The token reads, " name of firm or individual this side/good for 10 cents in trade" I don't know how I missed the chauffeur badge. Oh no another thing to collect. They made metal ones from 1913-1946!!!
The Oklahoma tokan was a surprise, I find so many Colorado ones it was more than welcome!!! I'm happy to be able to post again here this year!! Happy Hunting!!! IMG_20191113_140501771_HDR~2.webpIMG_20191113_140833259_HDR~2.webpIMG_20191113_140844120_HDR~2.webp

Nice finds up there, diggin. I've found a half dozen Colorado chauffeur badges and one Colorado Taxi badge that is similar over the years. All my chauffeur's are in the mid 40's and the taxi is 1937, I believe.
Keep it up!

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Congrats on the nice relics! :occasion14:

nice finds. Love those trade tokens. Congrats.

Thanks for the posts!! Sounds like you have a nice collection going xr7ator. I am glad they made them different from year to year!!! Good luck in the rest of the year!!! Looking forward to your posts this winter Johncoho!! Thanks Professor and RJ!!!

Nice saves. Cool badge. Congrats

Very nice group of relics. I like that Chauffeur's badge.

cool finds and victor/cripple creek is rich in history for sure! HH

Not downplaying the chauffeurs badge, which is a sweet find,
but I have never seen a salesman's sample token before, either here, on any other site, or even heard of one being dug before.
That, to me is one killer token!
I've seen, and have old advertisements for business's that offered the stamping of fobs, tool checks, and the like, from Denver,
but I've noticed that rarely will tokens have the manufacturing company info on them.
It does have the look of late 1890's to the very early teens.
I would be proudly displaying that in my token display area!
Killer Kudos!
Carl

Oh, and to further spur you on...

COLORADO - Badge News

My first badge ever found in Denver was the 1921, I had no clue what it was until I went to the Eureka! detecting club.
Don't they make a great sound in the headphones?!

Love the token and the chauffeur badge too! Never found one but I seem to see them popping up all over the forums lately. Too cool!

Thanks Hawks and Trezurhunter!!! I love this area I2hunt. I don't want to go anywhere if I ever get to retire!!!! Thanks Carl, I was wondering if anyone had seen one of these. I am glad they are not common!!! I sure think it is a pretty cool little find, and it will have a special spot in the case!!! Thanks Washtonian, it was sure a surprise. (I thought they only made them out east LOL) I took some fine steel wool and pulled out the highlights. IMG_20191113_173738001.webp

Nice job with the clean up. Great looking badge. What a save. To bad you couldn’t find an old chauffeurs hat to put it on before you put it in a display case.

Cool Colorado artifacts. Love the tokens.

Love that token but the badge that's really cool wow you did well. Tommy

That's a great find on the chauffeur badge. That'll look good in a display. Wtg and GL out there.

I found one too, mine is from 1915 and it's number 5. Found at a local wooded park in Flagstaff AZ

Thanks you all for the comments!!! I'm happy just getting out. It's sure a bonus when you find something. Hi CoinHunter, that sure is a beautiful piece! What is the story behind it since I don't see a state attributed to it? That's very cool, thank you for posting it!! I bet AZ has some amazing places to check out!
