Clear Creek runs all along the roadway up the mountainside.S3010660 Resized.webp

Just had to pull over on one of the numerous turnouts along the way and get the pan wet. LOLS3010667 Resized.webp

There were other interesting sites along the way up. Some had signs saying No Tresspassing. I have a terrible allergic reaction to lead so just took pics instead.S3010654.webp

I enjoyed your pictures there Stoney. I recognize the locations as I have been up that road a zillion times.

The photo with the bridge in it is Russell Gulch.
This is from a history piece.

In June 1859, W. Green Russell discovered gold placers and decomposed outcrops of lodes in what is now called Russell Gulch. Toward the end of September about 890 men were at work in Russell Gulch. Some lodes averaged $100 a day for months at a time and yields as large as $400 for a day's work were not uncommon.

Looks like some awsome scenery there.

Great Pics and looked like a beautiful day. Nasty looking crack in the windshield with that first picture. Thanks for the scenic tour.

No, was already there. Just one of the hazards of MDing, followed a dump truck hauling dirt and debris from a razed site back home.

Thanks y'all. Wish you could all have been there.

I wish you would have picked up some of my money I left behind. :D At least they fed me well.
I am ready to go back also. Work sucks
