Quick hunt netted me this incredible piece of Colorado history. So cool to see the Colorado seal so big!! Still researching it, can't find a match, it must be one of a kind!! Love old car items!!! Happy Hunting!!!
Is this it? Interesting that you could tell if someone had a 6 or 8 cyl by the hood ornament.

That's a cool observation. It doesn't look quite right. I'm having trouble finding a match but I think it's off a Chevy 1937 or 1938. Appreciate the information!! I think it's called a winged man.

It's a 1934/1935 Chevy Hood ornament, it's the base model some refer to as the "Winged Man", there were several other styles of hood ornaments for the these years as well, all of them had the radiator cap attached to that thread stud, it appears the hood ornament was an "option" as you could also get the vehicles with just a radiator cap if you didn't want to pay for a ornament version.

Cool! I've found a bunch of KoP paraphernalia at a spot near me, including the handle to a ceremonial sword and a belt buckle.

Those sound like cool finds!!! I found this years ago, I wonder what was on the front. Is yours similar? Maybe this is a medallion not a buckle?

I just did a Google image search and this is a medallion where it would have the number of the member on the front:)

Apparently UR stands for Uniformed Ranks, which was banned in the organization in the 1950s. I think the sword part is from one similar to this 1890s models. I think the rest of the sword is still under an oak tree.
