Control Cable on Ace 250

I notice some people recomend running the cable straight rather that wrapping it around the control shaft...Why is that? thanks, Tom

If you run the coil wire strait up the shaft about 1 foot and strap it tight then it won't move. Sometimes when you wrap the cable it gets a little loose and when it moves the Super Duper Turbo 250 will pick it up and beep.

Ditto, what Kenny said.

Some folks use electrical tape or duct tape, too. But I prefer the velcor.

Just be sure that you leave some strain relief at the end, where the cable meets the coil. It needs the freedom to flex at that point.
