Nice bottle. Not sure why clarification is needed on whether there might be drugs or poison in it! :) I think the fact that a deer is on it makes it pretty collectable to hunters/outdoor people.

Thank you! I really liked the deer a lot. I thought that was pretty unique.

Nice crock and bottle! I like that deer.

I have a Kling beer bottle from Detroit that says 'pure & without drugs or poison' on the base. My guess is that, more than it was there to assure the consumer about the safety of the product, it was there to frighten and make doubtful the consumer about other products from other competitors. They would read those words and think 'oh dear, well, what toxic stuff have the other guys been selling me if their bottle doesn't say it's safe?'

Thanks for your reply! What you said about the drugs and poison was interesting. I have never seen that labeled on a bottle before. I would assume my bottle is from the 1930s to 1940s, and didn't think that was an issue back then.

I think your bottle is a little older! 1910s, maybe early 20s, but not 30s.

That's awesome! I didn't think it was that old. I couldn't find much info on the company, but still like the bottle a lot.

How do you guys clean the inside of bottles? Members have told me how to clean the outside but I need to clean the inside which isn't working too well.

This should help you out a bit.

Thank you! I think I will try all the methods listed individually with my cheap bottles first, then try the best working method with my more expensive bottles. I really appreciate you posting this!
