Cool Bottle Dump Finds!!

Hey everyone, today I went to a bottle dump that was a boys orphanage from the 1870's to 1920's. I was digging for bottles and found a bunch of really cool things including a military button which i found on the surface and says Evans & Co. No. Attleboro Mass on the back, some other military thing maybe? lol, that says Troy NY Oct 9. 1909. I also found a bunch of beads in various sizes and colors, 2 clay marbles, a red glass marble, a Sanford's ink well and other bottles. Thanks for looking, Sarah

Looks like you're flirting with the TOC. That Sanford's is an early ABM example, I believe. What's the base look like?

Bottle digging is hard thankless work, until you find a keeper that is!

I used to dig bottle a lot of dumps up here in Canada when I was younger,
I guess that's why I metal detect now instead!
Love the look of the logo on the ink well, very nice condition!

Hey thanks. I've been bottle digging for probably the past 10 years and i've been to this spot a bunch of times and always walk away with some cool bottles and marbles. I know there's older bottles there but all i find are broken pieces, maybe i'll have some luck today . Here's a pic of the base, it says Sanford's on the bottom.
