I was heading to my husbands grandmothers house in hopes of finding some silver when I passed a sidewalk tear out and decided to stop.

I found some clad, a 1952 D penny and a pair of children's school scissors? And this little fellow.

Thank you Giant. I wish it wasn't missing part of its rear legs but I'll happily take it as is. :)

Thanks Mike. I was stoked when I saw it. Lol

Nice finds  I always keep an eye out when going somewere.

Love the horse and rider! If the scissors seems too sharp for kids, they may be embroidery scissors, which are also small but sharp.

Okay, a question for those of you experienced in detecting sidewalk or public parking lot tearouts: In my town, usually such tearouts have a yellow "Caution" tape around the perimeter. Is it okay to step inside and detect anyway? If not, is it okay to stay outside but stick the detector under the tape? (that second question is kind of a joke, lol.) I'd love to do the tearouts in my old town but the "Caution" tapes have discouraged me. btw, I'm an old lady who wears a pink sweatshirt with hearts on it when she detects, to discourage authorities from getting too zealous against my detecting forays! I never detect private property. Any info or experiences on "Caution" tapes that the rest of you have will help me. Andi

nice assortment of finds and good eye.
Around here they tear the sidewalks out and pour the concrete
about 10 mins later so we dont get the chance to detect ours.

Awesome! Looks like it came from the same set as the one I found earlier this year!

Looks like the horse and soldier were trying to jump out of the sidewalk! Amazing find! Thanks for sharing.
