The Indian penny was 1859 and the flat Button has a design on the front but I cans make it out. The thimble has ELM scribed on it.

Forgot the Shield button. Was very brittle so I just stopped trying to clean it fell apart in my hand while at the dig hole.

Great finds! Congratulations! Too bad about the Shield button. Thanks for posting.

Nice finds! Love the thimble!

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Is it safe you assume you already know the large object which resembles a piece of broken iron pipe is actually a civil war artillery shell fragment? (Specifically, it is from a US 3"-caliber Schenkl shell.)

I new it was part of a artillery shell but not from which one. Thanks
