X marks the spot and yes that is a interesting rock sample as it is. You could have the rock scanned by a falcon type of metal detector along what appears to be calcite or quartz lines to see if there is any values. It is unusual sample of veins.

Yes it is best kept in tacked as a collection piece. Thanks for posting the picture.

Looks like a combination of selenite, the brown matrix, and calcite. Cool piece though

Its actually two quarts veins within a high iron content rock. I found it while sluicing .

I'm not a mineral man but I know iron and quarts.

I'm glad you know quarts and don't take this wrong, but I think the word you want is quartz.

Selenite is not brown.

Looks like a contact with Granodiorite And Greenschist with a high Iron content
