Got out for 2 hours and headed to some Baltimore Co. property that had been farmed in corn last season. I've hunted this a couple times before but never found an old coin. Today that changed. Dug a .44 cal round ball and then a .44 cal 3-ring bullet that's 1-1/4th inch in length.

About a half hour later I got a 28-30 on the Equinox and from 9 inches down came this halfpenny. If it's British it dates from the 1770s, if a fake, then its likely from the 1780s.
