Have you found any copper artifacts? Not sure what it is? Or just willing to share? I'm compiling a master database of all pre-contact copper artifacts found in the Americas, and would love to add your find to this database. Every single piece has value. I now have over 45,000 artifacts listed, found in private collections and museum collections.

I found this a few weeks back and suspect it is in fact a copper awl. Just posted it under the Native American forum. That's a iron square nail on the right. My question too you is what is your professional opinion, is it the real deal?

I normally find a few small chunks of float or drift copper a year, largest was this 35lb spud.

the only copper artifacts I find are the occasional rare pre-zinc lincoln cent
