Copper Bracelet?

Hey y’all normally I would post this on the what is it section, but part of me hopes it is an item of trade. It is made of brass/copper and was deeper than the 1800’s site nearby. It could just be a kettle handle, but it kind’ve looks intentionally modified to me like some bracelet/armband. I am probably wrong, but thanks for humoring me!

Looks more like a handle of some sort to me but just my uneducated opinion.
