Yes this is a post correcting a previous - my sincere apologizes for not having the location confirmed before posting. My family moved around a lot in the 70's/80's.
Anyway in 1974 my father was mowing the lawn in Bay Shore, NY when the blade hit a copper(?) ball. The blade gouged the metal revealing something like cement on the inside, covered with 3/8'' of metal. He tested the interior for flammability but it was inert. Any ideas? Its 6"+ in diameter and weighs at least 8lbs.
