Copper? Idk?

Found this in the park. I assume it's copper. It's very heavy and about a quarter inch thick. It was in a very small zip lock bag. Rang up as a 91 on the at pro.

My thoughts are that is was intended to be a copper pipe end cap but press didnt complete process of making it for some reason.

Looks a bit like an expandable freeze plug missing one side. It also looks like an inner tube hot patch. Is that a paper/cardboard backing?

Nope it is pure copper.
