Whites and Garrett. I use several machines, the ace 350 is a nice machine. I have a 5900, 6000, whites.

Here is another one of those curiosities that we can find in the ground. This item is made of copper, 6" by 6", it came from one of my old sites that has given up couple 1850s military buttons. It must have been used to patch a big pot or someting along that line. It is not a rare find but someting Little different.

Now that's a curious relic for sure! No idea what that might be!
 
The pattern of the holes reminds me of a homemade heel plate. Maybe?
