Neat. Give us a little info. Where, when, how, etc? Monty

we found lots of other stuff in the same spot. square nails, 1790 german coin, crown and anchor captains button , ball buttons and much more.

Nice ring and finds :icon_thumright: Looks like a great spot to hunt

That ring could possibly a ferrule to hold a tool onto a wood handle

look at those dirty hands, and broken fingernails......are you a treasure hunter, or something? :icon_scratch:
Way to go, guy......good hunt. Never saw a hunt that was worth anything, that didn't break a few fingernails and FOR SURE
dirty up a guys hands. Good job.

There is a good hit where they are diggin, but we cant find it, i swing the detector over the hole and it says +14 @ 4 inches, the problem is there is a 4 inch root, the hit is either deep under the root or its in the root. we gave up on this one. till next time. ;D
i took the girls on a adventure into this cave, lets just say , some wet teeshirts and a boat load of water.

Saw the post that mentioned getting a signal close to a big root. Check under the root with your fingers, see if you can feel
part of the coin. I have found 2 different coins in the same way....drove me nuts, getting the signal, digging, nothing, expanding the hole, still getting the signal. Finally felt up under the root, and both coins were being held in place by the root.....the root had grown around the coins. Carry a little saw for such problems, and it worked fine. Hope that you get a real keeper up under the root.

Great pics from the cave :icon_thumright:

As to your signal found for later recovery hope it's not encased in the root :D

Uh, hmmm, I'm surprised no one has asked this yet, but where are the photos of the wet teeshirts? ;D

sorry lumber camp, no pictures, to busy trying not to flip the boat. took some friends out a couple of days ago, they have a fast 28 foot boat so we where able to go much farther, we found a cave i was told about, my theorie was it was a spanish light house, i was right, the young guy was so excited , he went back in the rubber boat to get the girls. when they got back the one girl went to step out, the wave pulled the rubber boat out and she went head first in the water. un fortunitly i missed it. her and her camers got very wet.
the pictures tell it all.
