my buddy George twisted my arm to go out today to a spot we've been hitting on an off for the last month or so . this place has been good to us and today was a pretty good one too. as soon as we got there we heard shotgun blasts pretty close by ( hunting season has started ) , i wasn't there long when i got a few buttons and a very poor beat up(really not worth a picture) 1817 large cent ( but hey its a copper and i'll take it ) . after a few more buttons i then found a very very worn colonial copper ( verdict is still out on identifing this one but i'm thinking it might be a william and Mary half penny 1694 ) . awhile later i picked up a few shoe buckle pieces then found an 1823 half penny token ( from Nova scotia ) in pretty decent shape. our copper race is in a dead heat now and to top the day on my way out i found a very very nice 1865 indian head . so thanks for looking and HH.

Fantastic finds. Hope you can recover some more!

Great finds there congrats.

Love your indian.

Sometimes if you hold a flashlight from the side of an extremely low detail coin it brings out enough detail to identify it. I am interested in whether it is a Wm and Mary. Great job by the way. :hello2:

A very nice day of hunting indeed. Coins look great and so do the buttons.WTG.

For the year, that IH is beautiful! Congrats on a great day out!

Leddel,

Kirk has been telling me about you and your crew's hunting success this year. :headbang: I love your style of hunting and always look forward to seeing your relics from America's early period! :headbang:

The shoe buckle fragments and, of course, the coppers have me drooling!

Good luck on your future hunts on the Connecticut frontier!

Kyle

Nice early finds man.

Anytime your getting those big pewter buttons it's gonna be a good day.

Leddel,

You proved once again why I consider you the "King of Shoe Buckles." :headbang: Those coppers ain't too shabby either. The copper race is on for our group as well. :icon_thumleft:

Keep the passion high!

Kirk

congrats on the coins and if I may ask how did you clean the indian?
