Hey all. I just wanted to see if any of you could help me identify this piece. I actually found it a few weeks ago, and never really looked at it. I just remember it felt different than everything else in my area. I had another, smaller piece from that day, but I gave it to a friend earlier. I also think I have a few pieces from over a year ago somewhere. Anyhow, the area I live in used to be a shallow water lagoon on, what used to be, the west coast of North America, and that Coral was abundant. The piece feels very light weight and airy. Extremely gritty, and has a soft, ceramic like sound when handled. All reasons I'm leaning toward Coral over plants. Anyone seen this before? Can't help you with the ID but I will tell you I like it and I dont like many fossils :P

Not a fossil but an interesting plume of druzzy quartz thats grown in a pattern that looks dentritic.
