Last time I was at Corn Island I was told about a steamer wreck off the north side near Anastasia's on the Sea restaurant. It was a freighter that grounded on the reef in the 1920s or something, but I can't recall the name of the vessel -- anyone happen to know the name and details of the loss?
Also, there is also supposedly a galleon wreck at Corn Island with cannon and anchor in situ -- anyone know the name and have information on the wreck? When I was there I also saw several cannon on display near the shrimp docks, possibly from the same wreck?
Cheers,
Mike

The wreck lies in 15' of water off of Waula Point, Big Corn Island. Clearly visible are
14 cannons and the original anchor. No known archaeological
survey or salvaging has ever been done on this wreck.
