Corpus Christi beaches?

The wife and I are looking at going down to Corpus Christi for a vacation this summer, and I was wanting to know about metal detecting there. Are the beaches open to metal detecting? If so, what beaches would you suggest? If not, where else might one be able to detect?

You can detect anywhere except the National Seashore or the beach at the state park. For some local knowledge check with the folks at Bob Hall pier, they are good people. Good luck
