Has anybody been there recently? I'm about to take the wife and kids today to look around and check it out. Also gonna buy a load to take home and play with. I hope I find something or else I payed 75$ for some fill dirt. IO just need to see some gold, I think it'll help me in the field for sure.

Cotton Patch has been rockin' for the last 6 weeks. I spent 2 weeks up there in early May, and the sluicers were killing it. Lots of fines and lots of pickers. Lots of folks got 2 grams or more in a half load.

Hey guys we are from Greenville SC area. What is the norm to prospect at cotton patch? You sluice the river gravels you buy a scoop or whats the $18 package? I need some ideas of what to expect to spend . I might try to come up there this coming weekend .

For $15 dollars you get 5 -2 gallon buckets to pan. If you want to share the 5 buckets with someone, the price is $18.

The best, and most fun way to get CP gold, is with a sluice. I think 1/2 load of material is around $80, or so.

If you are adventurous, you can participate in the "Perpetual Dig" which gives you access to the placer field and load gold in the lower pit. You will learn lots about this hobby there. You'll be able to DIG 20 gallons or so of mineralized vein rock for processing. All equipment is included. The price is $100.

There will be a special for the Perpetual Dig of $50 a head in June to see if there is any interest in the notion of hardrock prospecting. If you go this weekend you will be able to get an early discount. I cleared it with the owner tonight. Tell'em Sam sent you.

Here ya go friend, just click on prospecting and rates and other info. I bought a take home bucket for my Dad and he's doing pretty good with it. It's 20$ for a 5 gallon bucket if ya bring your own 25 if they supply it.
