Could i have some of you look at this?

I live in North West Missouri, i tend to take my husband and son out to collect rocks from time to time.

Last night when i was cleaning the clay off of them, my husband noticed i had the second half to this one rock. We were pretty excited because i picked each half up about a good half a mile away from each other.

Anyways, i can't figure out what it is, i've searched and searched with no luck. Its grainier in texture, the black is glassy almost like obsidian but dull due to the weather. the core is brown, also glassy and the white i do believe has formed on top of the original rock due to the fact i find it caked on almost all my bigger rocks regardless of their type, so i think it would originally be all black... its got a rusty sheen in between the core and the outer edge but it still has the textured glassy black all the way down until the core.

I'm located in gentry county missouri, i find granate and slate and a whole mess of other awsome rocks but this is the first i've seen of this kind over here so far. anyone know what it could be?

I'll bet if it's polished at the break line you'll find its one of those geode things, or maybe agate.
