Went to one of my favorite parks for an hour yesterday evening, and was lucky enough to pull out a 1908 V-Nickel and 1938 D Buffalo. This park is horrible on nickels as you can see in the pic. Also, on a clad note, I found my first Sac Dollar.

Very nice ~ I love finding them old nickels!

Nice couple coins even if they are a little red. Full date on the Buffalo. ;D

Yeah.. I was glad to see the full date buffalo. Found my first dated buffalo of the year a couple of days ago. I'm having a heck of a time find a V older than 1901.. not sure what the deal is there.. but I'll keep trying.

Thanks!

They are still cool even if they are a little red and crusty.

Nice DB, most people don't even find Nics, because they have their discrimination set to high.
Good finds.

Good finds.

I'm lovin' it. Hitting heavily hit spots and I'm able to sniff these out now. New SE has extremely helped with this. Seems like copper and silver are 'gone', but plenty of nickels to find.

So far with the SE, I've found 4 V-Nickels, 4 Buffalos and 2 war nickels. I use to find only a few old nickels for the year... so this is an absolutely great start for me.
