Yesterday I had a rough day at the cornfield, only getting this piece of a harmonica reed, a very fragile thimble, and a tiny lead ball, and what looks like a musket ball in 3 hrs so, I got frustrated and went home with just that. Today I got permission to do a small yard down the street from my house and managed a crusty wheat, a neat vaccination tag from 1955, a cool lock and about $3.50 in clad, man I hope this isn't how my year goes lol

Well, you can control some of the wasted time, but maybe not all. Just have to get good at figuring the best chance prospects.
Sometimes it's the gold mine, sometimes, you just get the shaft. ;)

Or as I like to say

" Somedays it is Heinekin and steak, Somedays it is PBR and potted meat !"

I used to do that, a LOT! 'Til one day, after a particularly long ride with no results. I came home and found a ring. Laying in the road, right outside my yard. LOL
